The Institute of Plasma Physics & Lasers is located in the area of ​​Tria Monastiria of the Municipality of Rethymno and is located in a building of 2500 sq.m. which was manufactured with special specifications to accommodate high-tech optomechanical equipment. The foundation of the laboratories and the construction of the building were made to help reduce the externally stimulated vibrations, while the electromechanical equipment provides to the laboratory stable conditions of temperature and humidity, reduction of dust through room overpressure, as well as a stable power supply. Thus, the high-standard scientific equipment can operate smoothly and with the precision required for the implementation of cutting-edge research. The building infrastructure includes autonomous support facilities for academic and administrative staff, such as meeting room, meeting room, library, offices (35), restaurant.
